Lean in

Life may feel uncertain.

Storms may rage around us. Fear may grip our hearts.

Trials may test our faith. Worries may weigh us down.

Doubts may cloud our minds. Pain may feel overwhelming.

The future may seem unclear. Grief may leave us empty.

Anxiety may pull at our peace. Loneliness may leave us isolated.

Unmet expectations may shake our confidence.

Pressures may feel too heavy to bear.

But the rock on which we lean is firm. He is the rock that never wavers, the fortress that shields, and the hand that delivers.

Lean in, friends. Lean in safely and securely on the One who sustains. He is so near.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
